My second earring hole has a bump on the back?

I got my double piercings like six months ago and I don't usually have problems with them but when I try to put one of them in it hurts a lot and theres a bump on the back that forms into a point. Its hard to explain but it hurts and i squeezed it and pus came out. Is it infected? Should i not put an earring in for now? What do i doooo?
